Jack L. Keeley, 69, of Wellsburg, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at his home. Per Jack's request his body was cremated. No services are being planned at this time.
Jack Larry Keeley was born August 19, 1943 in Independence, Iowa, to Francis and Lavone (Nelson) Keeley. The family lived in Hazelton, where he attended school and graduated from Hazelton High school in 1961. On May 28, 1962 Jack entered the United States Navy serving his country till being honorably discharged on July 27, 1966. He worked at many positions for John Deere Company in Waterloo before retiring. He was a member of UAW Local 838. Jack enjoyed playing guitar, fishing, hunting, woodworking and just being outdoors. Jack loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Susan of Wellsburg; daughters, Linda Keeley of Oelwein, Sheryl (Myles) Meyer of Holland; grandchildren, Eric and Ryan Keeley, Candice and Samuel Meyer; brothers, Jerry (Shelia) Keeley of Lexington Texas and Joel Keeley of Hazelton.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jim and Carl
