Ila Mae Venenga (74) of Ackley, Iowa, passed away on October 28th, 2016. A public visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1st, 2016, at the Doyen Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2016 at the First Christian Reformed Church in rural Wellsburg, Iowa. Ila Mae Blythe was born to George and Grace (Ruter) Blythe on March 4th, 1942, in Wellsburg, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the area, graduating with the class of 1960. In May of 1964, Gene Venenga and Ila Mae were united in marriage. Together, the two would make their home in Holland, Iowa, to raise their family. They would later divorce. Ila was a homemaker and employee of Grundy Register as well as Farm Bureau Insurance, working as a typist in the 1980's. She enjoyed fishing, playing the piano and reading. Her family fondly remembers Ila's homemade cookies that were always in the cookie jar. She never knew a stranger and always strived to make everyone feel welcome.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; John (Judith) Venenga, Tammy (Shawn) Garris, Jay (Diane) Venenga, Lisa (Kerry) Panozzo, grandchildren; Eric Venenga, Chauntel, Samantha and Kaliegh Garris, Enzo and Oscar Panozzo. sister; Mary Ann Vry.
In death, Ila Mae rejoins her parents; George and Grace (Ruter) Blythe, brothers; Kenneth, Al, Ernie, Gene and Wayne Blythe.
