Icel Wilson, 81, of Marshalltown, Iowa, died Saturday, November 15, 2008, at the Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Funeral Services will be 10:00 am on Wednesday November 19, 2008 at the Creps – Abels Funeral Home in Eldora. Burial will be in the Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Eldora, Iowa. Pastor Harrison Lippert will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday November 19, 2008 from 9:00 am until service time at 10:00 am at the Creps – Abels Funeral Home in Eldora, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Icel was born June 16, 1927 in Missouri the daughter of George and Gertie Mathes. She attended school in Missouri. On December 1, 1945 she was united in marriage to James L. Wilson in Lawrence, Kansas. To this union four boys were born James, Elmer, Ed and Rick. The family moved to Marshalltown in 1966.
Surviving are three boys Elmer Wilson of Steamboat Rock, Iowa, Ed Wilson of Radcliffe, Iowa, and Rick and his wife Pam Wilson of Garwin, Iowa., 11 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Pauline Morgan of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Valee Macklefish of Spokane, Washington, 3 brothers Harold and his wife Noma Mathes of Queen City, Missouri, Gerald and his wife Delores Mathes of Glendale Missouri and Dutch and his wife Elaine Mathes of Rockford, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: James L. Wilson, a son: James Wilson, a sister Emma Jean Williams and a brother Olvi “Tub” Mathes.
