He worked as a counselor at treatment centers for most of his life. Harry was a counselor at the Fountain Center in Eldora when he met his wife Darlene. They enjoyed getting in their car and driving and just seeing where the road led them.
Harry was an avid football fan. He loved Brett Favre and would support any team on which he played. He loved to collect sports cards, specifically football cards. He also enjoyed collecting small toy NASCAR cars.
