Harold L. Rosburg, 77, of rural Steamboat Rock, Iowa, died from natural causes on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Friday, June 30, 2006 at the United Methodist Church in Owasa with Pastor Ward Richards officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 pm on Friday at the Eldora City Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora. Memorials may be directed to Harold's family.
Harold was born January 5, 1929 in rural Steamboat Rock, son of George and Pauline (Roll) Rosburg. He was raised on a farm northwest of Steamboat Rock . On February 18, 1967 Harold was united in marriage to Beverly Jones at the United Methodist Church in Eldora. He worked as a foreman for Infanseat in Eldora for over 19 years and then as a dye maker and machinery designer for Donco in Albion for 19 years retiring in 1996. He enjoyed camping, fishing, dancing, and remained busy wood-crafting after retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; daughters, Linda Hallett of Eldora, Shirley (Darriel) Coatney of Marshalltown, and Pam Chrisman of Eldora, son, Gary (Betty) Chrisman of Lincoln; sister, Arlene (Robert) Pies of De Leon, Texas; brothers, Arlo (Patsy) Rosburg of Eldora and Merlyn (Kay) Rosburg of El Paso, Texas; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Tracy Chrisman.
