Harold V. Davis Jr., 62, of Eldora, died at his home from natural causes on Friday,December 7, 2007. Harold Van Davis Jr. was born November 16, 1945 in Oak Harbor, Washington, the son of Harold Sr. and Opal (Timmy) (Thornbury) Davis. Harold served his country in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. After his discharge, Harold farmed with his father and brother in Missouri, Harold then went to work for Terra Seeds in Sioux City, Iowa, as the General Manager and later moved to Eldora where he worked for US Suppliers and then later sold cars for Liberty Motors in Grundy Center till the time of his death.
Harold was an avid fisherman and hunter. And very was active in Ducks Unlimited chapters in this area for years. Harold loved to watch horse racing on TV, playing solitaire on the computer, but most of all spending time with family and friends, especially telling stories to his granddaughter, Season.
Harold is survived by his wife Betty Davis of Eldora,children:, Toni (Tom) Overfield of Jacksonville, Florida; Russ (Sheri) Davis of Nevada; Terry (Candi) Jarmuzek of LeMars, Iowa; Dick (Lisa) Reinert of Marcus, Iowa; Michelle Reinert (Lynn Schwarck) of Union, Iowa, his father Harold (Helen) Davis Sr. and two brothers, Jim (Bev) Davis and Jeff (Peggy) Davis all of Missouri, and 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several nephews, and one very special grandchild, Season.
Harold was preceded in death by his mother,Opal.
