Gregory Gardiner

Gregory G. Gardiner, 51, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away of natural causes on March 4, 2015 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2015 at Eldora United Methodist Church with Rev. Vicki Reece officiating. Private family burial services will be held at a later date.

Gregory was born December 15, 1963, son of Gary and Mary Jo (Lamb) Gardiner. He graduated from Eldora High School in 1982. He moved to Marshalltown where he worked as a C.N.A. at Southridge Nursing and Rehab Center and also as a dish washer at Perkins.

Greg enjoyed watching and attending sporting events. He had no favorites, as any sports show caught his attention. He regularly and passionately followed his religion of Christianity. He worked at Southridge for many years and grew to love the job and the people he worked with.

He is survived by his mother, Wanda Gardiner of Eldora; sister, Lori (Mark) Albright of Grundy Center; brother, Jeffrey Gardiner of Sioux Falls, S.D.; as well as Helen (Larry) Golden, Robin Johnston, Linette Goodknight, and Christopher (Christina) Pratt; many nieces, nephews and his cousin, Mike Lamb.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, David and Glenn Smedsrud, and Jeffrey Pratt.
