Gary L. Taylor, 71, of New Providence, Iowa died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora, Iowa with Pastor Jerry Kramer officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Eldora. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Creps-Abels Funeral Home.

Gary Lee Taylor, son of Glenn and Darline Kramer Taylor was born on November 11, 1943 in Eldora, Iowa. He graduated from Eldora High School in 1962. He attended A.I.B. in Des Moines where he received his degree in business. Following his graduation from A.I.B., he worked for 2 years at Murphy Finance in Des Moines. Gary then began his lifelong career in management with Wonder Bread Company. On August 26, 1978 he married Jolene Riemenschneider in Des Moines, Iowa. Gary resided in the communities of Grimes, Boone, Kansas City, Mason City, and retired in New Providence. Gary was a family guy who loved to tell his grandkids stories of growing up and things that he did. He knew how to throw a good pool party and always made sure everyone had a good time. His hobbies included golfing, playing cards, boating, snowmobiling and hanging out with his kids, grandkids and family.

Survivors include his children, Rachelle (Ron) Smith of Jefferson, IA; Rod Taylor of Gaffney, SC; Jeff (Anne) Riemenschneider of Ankeny, IA; grandchildren, Taylor, Nicole and AJ Smith, Holly and Leanna Taylor, Kelsey and Megan Riemenschneider; his mother, Darline Taylor of Eldora; sister, Donna Steinfeldt also of Eldora; brother, Terry (Mary Ellen) Taylor of Iowa Falls; and his uncle, David Taylor of Eldora.

Gary was preceded in death by his loving wife Jolene, and his father, Glenn Taylor.
