Gary Howey, 66, of Eldora, Iowa died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family while under the care of Unity Point Hospice. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made with the Creps-Abels Funeral Home.
Gary Olla Waldo Howey, son of Charles and Jennie Kelley Howey was born on November 24, 1949 in Flint Michigan. He received his education and graduated from High School in Gramblanc Michigan. On May 12, 1967, he married Norma Jean Goodrich in Flint, Michigan. Gary's main vocation was as a maintenance worker. He was a member of the Moose lodge in Gladwin, Michigan. His hobbies included golfing, baseball, football, bowling and fishing.
Survivors include his loving wife, Norma Jean Howey of Eldora, IA; daughters, Donetta (Delbert) Roe of Gladwin, MI, Monica Hall of Eldora, IA; sons, Charles Daniel (Michelle) Howey of Harrison, MI, Anthony (Laurie) Howey of Gladwin, MI; his mother, Jennie Howey of Gladwin, MI; sisters, Dawn Howey of Gladwin, MI, Melody (Jerry) Gregory of Nebraska, Cindy (Chief Master Sergeant Brian) Martin of Texas; brother, Eugene (Judy) Howey of Oscoda, MI; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Charles Howey and two brothers, Tony and Herbert Howey.
