Frederic Beving

Frederic D. Beving, 86, of Creston, Iowa, formerly of Wellsburg, Iowa, died, Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at his farm home at rural Creston, Iowa. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Friday, June 15, 2007, at East Friesland Presbyterian Church, rural Ackley, Iowa, with Pastor Lynn Arends officiating. Burial will follow at East Friesland Church Cemetery, rural Ackley, Iowa. Visitation will be Thursday, June 14, 2007, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg. A memorial fund has been established.

Frederic D. Beving was born July 26, 1920, in German Township, rural Grundy County, the son of Aeilt and Bena (Roelfs) Beving. Frederic graduated from Wellsburg High School with the Class of 1938. After high school, Frederic served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on March 30, 1947. On March 19, 1949, he was united in marriage to Lucille K. Boehm in Omaha, Nebraska. Frederic was a farmer all of his life in rural Wellsburg and Creston.

He is survived by his wife Lucille Beving of Creston, Iowa; son Randy Beving and his wife Myrna of Creston, Iowa; daughter Kathi Ann Buckingham and her husband Alan of Storm Lake, Iowa; and son Lindsey Beving and his wife Becky of Wellsburg, Iowa; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother John Beving; and one sister Phyllis Crocker.
