Faye Peters

Faye A. Peters, 87, of Eldora, formerly of Osceola, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Valley View Specialty Care in Eldora. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora. A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday December 4, 2015 at the First Assembly of God Church in Eldora. Burial will be held privately by the family at The Evergreen Cemetery in Emmetsburg, Iowa.

Faye was born on August 28, 1928 in Cambridge, Iowa to her parents Robert and Gladys (Kuhn) Duncan. She graduated from Collins High School in Collins, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Lester Thomas Peters on June 1, 1951 in Curlew, Iowa. Together they welcomed 9 children into their family.

Faye was a life-long member of the First Assembly of God Church; there she served the church as a Sunday school teacher. Faye was an avid walker. She enjoyed camping with her family. Her true joy in life came from spending time with her family especially her children and grandchildren.

Faye is survived by her children Darrell (Frances) Peters, Lester (Denise) Peters, William (Jane) Peters, Faye (Don) Nederhoff, Daniel (Sue) Peters, Marie (Mike) Bachman and Gladys (Colin) Keipper; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brothers Oscar Duncan and Art (Sandy) Duncan; sisters Violet (Al) Wagner, Margie McStockard and Marlys Smith and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lester; her daughter Verna; her son Duncan; her sisters Claretta Lay and Dorothye Johnson and her brother Raymond Duncan.
