Evelyn M. "Peanuts" Lindaman, 92, of Wellsburg, Iowa died on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Wellsburg Reformed Church in Wellsburg with Pastor Michael Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Wellsburg. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
Evelyn "Peanuts" was born May 16, 1920 in Grundy Center, Iowa, daughter of Fred and Minnie (Peters) Potter. She graduated from Wellsburg High School then attended A.I.B. in Des Moines for secretarial training. On April 5, 1941 Evelyn was united in marriage to Jakie G. Lindaman and together they owned and operated Lindaman's Super Market in Wellsburg for many years. Evelyn enjoyed fishing, golfing, dancing, and until the last few years of her life walking about four miles daily.
Surviving is her sons, George Jay Lindaman of Wellsburg and Dick Jay Lindaman of Smithfield, Virginia and his wife, Crystal; sister-in-law, Elaine Lindaman of Mesa, Arizona; grandchildren, Amy and Chris Hardie of Malvern, Iowa, Jason Lindaman of Denver, Colorado, Isaac Krueger of Smithfield, Virginia; and great-grandchildren, Abigail and Alysse Hardie and Jacob Krueger. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jakie on March 25, 2004.
