Dorothy "Pat" Jensen, 83, of Grundy Center, Iowa, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, February 10, 2005, at her home.
Pat was born April 17, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois, to Harry and Dorothy May (Burch) Eastland. Pat graduated from North Division High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1939. Pat was very athletic and enjoyed swimming and golfing she loved to play tennis. Pat was the Milwaukee City Table Tennis champion for 3 years, and was the Wisconsin State Doubles Champion for 3 years. In April of 1943 Pat enlisted in the United States Air Force. On March 3, 1945 she married the love of her life Arthur R. Jensen at Fort Worth, Texas. The couple lived in Valparaiso, Indiana for 40 years before retiring to Grundy Center. Pat was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grundy Center. Pat taught Sunday School for many years. She so enjoyed child evangelism and watching the young children learn about the Lord. Pat Loved Jesus, her family and her country.
Survivors include her husband Arthur; two daughters: Polly and her husband Dave Liebig of Michigan City, Indiana and Sedona, Arizona, and Karen Jensen of Ocala, Florida;a granddaughter Lisa and her husband Brian Czarniecki and a great granddaughter Reese Czarniecki.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Lloyd Eastland.
