Dorothy M. Appin, 87, of Eldora, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Eldora Nursing and Rehab Center while under the care of the Eldora Nursing staff and Iowa Hospice. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church, 1307 Third Street, Eldora, Iowa. Inurnment will be private.
Dorothy was born on November 25, 1926 in Tampa, Florida, the daughter of Hosea Earl & Olive Pearl Lamun.
She is survived by her daughters Barbara Morris of Eldora & Brenda Gagner of Florida; 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ray W. Appin; son Ray W. Appin, Jr.
Dorothy was a God-fearing woman and a very modest, classy lady. All those who knew her, loved her. She will be sincerely missed by many. One day we will all meet together in Heaven.
