Donald "George" Rosine Jr., 53, of Eldora, Iowa, died from natural causes on Friday, November 3, 2006 at the Eldora Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, November 8, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora with Pastor David Splett officiating. Burial will follow at the Eldora City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora with his family present to greet friends from 6 pm to 8 pm. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
George was born October 1, 1953 in Alexandria, Louisiana, son of Donald George Rosine Sr. and Evelyn Marzell Lindsey Rosine. He graduated from Eldora High School with the class of 1971. George drove semi for Confinement Livestock of Eldora and in 1975 was involved in truck accident leaving him disabled. Before his accident he was able to take a six month tour of Europe from which he had many fond memories. George also enjoyed watching the old Western classics. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Surviving George are his sisters, Anita (Mrs. Allan) Eggleston of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and Rita (Mrs. Lonnie) Balvanz of Eldora; and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
