Dianne Kulow

Dianne Kulow, of Peachtree City, GA, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 30, 2021 after a short battle with cancer.

She arrived, loving firstborn daughter, into the welcoming arms of her parents, Lola (Schnebel) and Harold Kulow in June 1955 at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her maternal grandparents Elmer and Lydia Schnebel, and her paternal grandparents Otto and Anna Kulow.

Dianne was the eldest of three sisters, and grew up in a small Iowa town filled with community and warmth.  She shared her youth with two surviving sisters, Becky (Juan) Nazario of Belle Plaine, MN, Tamara Kulow of Fairfield, IA, held a special place in her heart for her much beloved nephew Sterling Nazario, also of Belle Plaine, MN, and an aunt, Joy Schnebel, of Laguna Niguel, CA.

She graduated from Eldora High School in 1973, and later Avila University with a BA in history.   She enjoyed the idea of bringing justice to those in need, and worked in the field of law her entire career.  She loved her work, and we thank the Hendrick, Phillips, Salzman, and Siegel family for being part of who Dianne was, and for their support to her during her illness.

Dianne was passionate about her humanitarian work around the globe, partnering with the Global Volunteers organization on many occasions to offer her fluent Spanish services as well as community development.  She traveled on projects to Cuba, Costa Rica, Spain, Equador, Texas and Mississippi, and was awarded the Global Volunteers Service Program Award in 2016 for her unwavering involvement.

Finally, Dianne loved her community and church, and the relationships she cultivated there.  She frequently volunteered at the Peachtree City Public Library, and cherished her spiritual family at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, also in Peachtree City.  We would like to thank Pastor Mark Dahn for his tireless counsel and guidance during Dianne’s transition, and the entire congregation for volunteering to help with miscellaneous household chores during her infirmity, always with a smile and reflection of God’s loving grace.  She was a fiercely independent soul, so it could be difficult for her to accept outside assistance.

Family and friends are invited to gather in memoriam Thursday, November 4, 2021, 11:30am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 700 Ardenlee Parkway, Peachtree City, GA 30269.
