Dennis Dieken

Dennis H. Dieken, 59 of Holland, Iowa, passed away Friday August 13, 2010 at Grundy County Memorial Hospital. Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Rosehill Cemetery in Grundy Center, with Pastor Tom Bower Officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday August 18, 2010 at Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center.

Dennis was born on June 8, 1951 to his parents Edward and Ivadean Dieken. He was raised in Dike, Iowa until the age of 13 when his family relocated to Arizona. Later in life he moved back to Iowa and settled in Holland, Iowa. Dennis was a devoted nephew to his uncles Paul and Alvin and acted as their primary care giver.

He is survived by his uncles Paul and Alvin Meents of Holland, IA; his aunts Clara Claassen of Parkersburg, IA and Grace Meents of Grundy Center, IA; his cousins John A. Meents of Hondo, TX, Pastor David (Diane) Claassen of Temperance, MI, Mark (Sheila) Claassen of Parkersburg, IA and Rhonda (Ed) Parker of Urbandale, IA; and his special friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his uncles John Meents and John Claassen.
