Delmar Cole

Delmar Dale Cole, 79, of Grundy Center passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at his home in Grundy Center. A celebration of life will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022, at the Town & Country Golf Course in Grundy Center. Delmar was born on September 17, 1942, to his parents Oliver and Ruth (Bantz) Cole. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Independence, Iowa; as a member of the class of 1961. Delmar was united in marriage to Marcia Shroyer on May 23, 1968, and together they welcomed 6 children into their family. He enjoyed playing cards, golfing, going to the casino, bowling, and playing pool. However, his true joy in life came from spending time with his family.

Delmar is survived by his wife Marcia Cole; his children John Cole, Cindy (Steve) Simms, Larry (Julie) Cole, Cherri (Steve) Jackson, and Lisa (Kevin) Swalley, 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Terry Cole; brothers Ivan Cole and Kenny Cole in infancy.
