Dee Ann Dickenson, 65, of Eldora, Iowa, died Monday June 11, 2007 at the Valley View Nursing and Rehab Center in Eldora, while under the care of Iowa Hospice. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 15, 2007, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Eldora, Iowa, with Pastor David Splett officiating. Burial will follow at Eldora City Cemetery in Eldora, Iowa. Visitation will be Thursday, June 14, 2007, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora, where the family will be present to greet friends.
Dee Ann Rebecca Last was born September 28, 1941, in Hubbard, Iowa, the daughter of Marie Last. She attended school and graduated from Hubbard High School. Dee Ann was united in marriage to Carroll Dean ?Louie? Dickenson in March 1970. Dee Ann worked at Dodger and then as a waitress at the Korner Kupboard and the Gifford Cafe until her illness made her retire in September 2006. Dee Ann was a member of the St. Paul?s Lutheran Church in Eldora, Iowa
She is survived by her very special friend Harold Mabe of Eldora, Iowa; 5 sons: Mike and wife Susie Dickenson of Tama, Iowa, Chad and wife Kim Dickenson of Marshalltown, Iowa, Jeff Dickenson and his friend Lynne of Eldora, Iowa, and Kent Dickenson of Marshalltown, Iowa; Kevin and wife Kris Sunken of Crete, Nebraska; 1 daughter: Kristie Bacus of Knoxville, Iowa; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, husband and 1 grandson Bryan Dickenson.
