Darlene Ann (Watson) Perrin, 92 of Eldora, Iowa passed away on September 12, 2022, in the comfort of her home.
She was born June 23, 1930, in Marshalltown, Iowa to Max and Anna (Becvar) Watson, they had two boys and two girls with Darlene being the second oldest.
All have preceded her in death.
Darlene lived in Marshalltown until she met and married Clarence Perrin. They met on a blind date set up by her girlfriend and have been married for 72 years
Their union resulting in four children. They have lived in Eldora for 53 years. During that time, she had worked at Whink Products in their blow molding department. Darlene was a member of the Eldora Methodist Church and a member of the Morning Star Montague Lodge 117. She especially enjoyed cooking, baking, and canning fresh produce. As her family would attest, she was a great cook. Darlene’s greatest love was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and feeding them.
Surviving is her husband Clarence, daughters Karen (Joe) Schult, Debra (Bill) Lawless, Pam (Randy) Tjaden, and son Mike Perrin. She was blessed with grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
She will be missed but many of her recipes will be handed down to her surviving family with loving memories of Mom, Grandma & Great Grandma in the kitchen cooking.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday September 16, 2022, at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora, Iowa. Only family was present for graveside services with Darlene’s final resting place East lawn Cemetery, Eldora.
