Chris D. Bennett, 48, of Eldora, Iowa, died Monday, February 21, 2011, at his home.
Following cremation a Celebration of life will be held from 2:00pm a�" 4:00pm., Sunday, March 6, 2011, with family present at the Dorothy Senior Center in Eldora, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Chris Dewayne Bennett was born February 25, 1962 in Iowa City, Iowa, to his parents Charles and Mary Bennett. After graduating from High School he had a woodworking shop in Fairfield, Iowa. Chris changed his career and became a cook working for the Hantzeas family for 17 years currently at Eldora Pizza and Steakhouse.
He enjoyed spending time with his children, and fishing. His work was his life and his big heart was there to help any one. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. He enjoyed watching All-Star wrestling.
He is survived by his sister, Lesa Bennett: his brother, Charles Bennett; his children, Spencer and Holly "Alex"Alexander Kerr; stepson, Adam Ejaz; niece, Jessica Bennett; nephew, Phillip Bennett; his extended family, Andy, Anna, Manny and Little Anna Hantzeas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
