Cathy A. Harness

Cathy (Albright) Harness of Grundy Center passed away on June 8, 2023, at Creekside Living in Grundy Center, Iowa.

Cathy was born on September 6, 1948, to Amos and Marian (Kopsa) Albright. Cathy was united in marriage to Jim Harness on July 28, 1978. Jim passed away on September 29, 2003

Cathy graduated from Grundy Center Hight School in 1966. She studied at South Western College in Illinois. She went on to work at Swedish Medical Center when her and Jim moved to Port Orchard, Washington. Cathy worked there from 1988-2010.They also lived in the Chicago area and San Diego before settling in Port Orchard, Washington

Cathy moved back to her hometown of Grundy Center in 2012.

Cathy had once admitted to love being retired, being a couch potato and drinking her Diet Mountain Dew. She found pleasure in the little things in life.

Cathy was preceded in death by her husband Jim; parents Amos and Marian; sisters Sandra Miller and Cindy Saddoris; sister-in-laws Lori Albright and Jennifer Bossly; brother -in-law Tom Saddoris.

She is survived by her brother's Mark Albright and Scott Albright; nieces and nephews: Deb Van Hauen; Melinda Burns; Michelle (Al) Van Deest; Dawn West; Teresa (Gary) Appel: Jesse Gardiner; Mary Jo Albright; Tyson (Kassandra) Albright; Kayla (Jeff) Miller.  She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.
