Catherine May Morgan, age 72, of rural Eldora, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Iowa River Hospice in Marshalltown, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 3, 1942, to Charles and Catherine (Gogerty) Snider in Marshalltown, Iowa.
Catherine married Dick Morgan on May 11, 1963, in Jersey City, New Jersey, and they enjoyed 50 years of marriage. Catherine was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed traveling in the camper, with her favorite destination being someplace that had mountains. She also enjoyed gardening, and opening up her home to entertain family and friends. Catherine was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church in Eldora.
Catherine is survived by her husband Dick; children, Kelly (Richard) Trinkle, Theresa (David) Valde, David (Cindi) Morgan, Jr., and Ryan (Britni) Morgan; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 3 step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harold Snider, and sister Janice Snider.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at St Mary's Catholic Church, 614 Washington Street, Eldora. Family will greet guests one hour prior to services at the church.
