Brian I. Gregory Jr., 23, of Eldora, Iowa, died Wednesday, June 28, 2006, in Eldora, Iowa. Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M., Monday, July 10, 2006, at the First United Methodist Church in Eldora, Iowa, with the Rev. Dr. Richard Boatman officiating. Burial will follow at the Eldora City Cemetery in Eldora, Iowa. Visitation will be Sunday, July 9, 2006, from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora. A memorial fund is being established.



Brian was born August 26, 1982, in Iowa City, Iowa, the parents of Brian Ivan Gregory Sr. and Becky Jane (Cole) Ross. Brian worked in construction. He enjoyed being outdoors. He liked to fish and he especially enjoyed camping. Brian also wrote poetry. He had a poem published in the volume entitled, A Fleeting Shadow; The International Library of Poetry, in the year 2000. Brian also loved music.

He is survived by his father Brian I. Gregory Sr. and his wife Karen of Eldora, Iowa; his mother Becky J. Ross and her special friend Steve Reece of Union, Iowa; four brothers Dominick Gregory of Eldora, Iowa; Joey Gregory of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Steven Klosterman of Marshalltown, Iowa; Calvin Bast of Cedar Falls, Iowa; five sisters Angela Gregory of Eldora, Iowa; Emily Ross of Haviland, Kansas; Trisha Gregory of Marshalltown, Iowa; Shelby Gregory of Melbourne, Iowa; and Barbara Michel of Marshalltown, Iowa; his grandmother Gwyneth Cole of Eldora, Iowa; and his girlfriend April Hoffpauir of Marshalltown, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by one brother Duane Matthew Ross; his paternal grandfather David Gregory; his paternal grandmother Patricia Gregory; his maternal grandfather Elvin Harold Cole; and two uncles Jimmie Lee Cole and Wayne Gregory.
