Blanche L. Saint, 86, of Eldora, died from natural causes on Tuesday, December 05, 2006, at Valley View Nursing and Rehab Center in Eldora, Iowa. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Friday, December 8, 2006, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Eldora, Iowa, with Pastor Corey Larson officiating. Burial will follow at the Eldora City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 7, 2006, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora. A memorial fund has been established.
Blanche was born December 26, 1919, at home in rural Green City, Missouri, the daughter of Allen and Addie (Roush) McGill. As a youngster, Blanche and her family moved to Hardin County, Iowa. On November 7, 1936, Blanche was united in marriage to Erwyn Saint at the Church of Christ in Eldora. After their marriage, they made their home in rural Eldora.
Blanche's husband Erwyn died in 1990, and she continued to make Eldora her home. Blanche was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Eldora. She was a wonderful housekeeper and mother who was loved by all.
She is survived by two daughters Corrine Christian and her husband Ray of Des Moines, Iowa; Joanne Smith of Eldora, Iowa; one son Ron Saint of Orange, California; four grandchildren Jason Smith and his wife Kellie of Eldora, Iowa; Stacey Frerichs and her fiance Rob Cayler of Clarion, Iowa; Heather Saint of Orange, California; Tina Silva of Eldora, Iowa; four great-grandchildren Gabrielle Silva, Hannah Frerichs, Justyn Smith, and Olyvia Smith; and one sister-in-law Dorotha McGill of Centerville, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Erwyn; one grandson Ron Saint Jr.; six sisters Roxie, Lola, Ona, Bertha, Sally, Hazel; and five brothers George, Bill, Ora, Virgil, and Milton.
