Beulah Sietsema (98) of Wellsburg, Iowa, passed away on September 26th, 2016. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 29th, 2016, at the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, at 2:30 pm. A public visitation will be held an hour prior. Beulah Mildred DeVries was born to Ben and Dora (Hook) DeVries on December 27th, 1917, in the Pleasant Valley Township (Grundy Co.), Iowa. She was raised and educated in the area, attending Applington High School and graduating with the class of 1935. On September 19th, 1941, Beulah and Edward George Sietsema were united in marriage at her parents' home. Together the family made their home near Wellsburg, Iowa, to raise their family. On February 25th, 1995, Edward passed away. Beulah loved sewing, quilting, playing piano at her church every Sunday and giving piano lessons.
Left to cherish her memory, are her children; Verda (Charles) Stief of Ankeny, Iowa, Beth Steinfeldt of West Des Moines, Iowa, sister; Hazel Hobbs, brother-in-law; George Sietsema, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In death, Beulah rejoins her parents; Ben and Dora (Hook) DeVries, husband; Edward Sietsema, sisters; Alice Pieper, Lucille Kuper and an infant grandson; Andrew Stief.
