Betty Boekhoff

Betty Jane Boekhoff, 89, of Ackley, formerly of Wellsburg, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Grand JiVante Assisted Living in Ackley while under Care Initiatives Hospice. The funeral service for Betty will be held on Wednesday, September 4th at 11:00 AM at the Wellsburg Reformed Church. Visitation will precede one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow services at the Wellsburg Reformed Church Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Betty is survived by her daughter Deb Starr of Wellsburg; 3 grandchildren – Scott (Carmen) Starr of Wellsburg; Chad (Amy) Starr of Steamboat Rock; and Allison (Kirk) Pohlman of Johnston, IA and 8 great grandchildren.

Great Grandchildren – Jacob Starr & Chase Thompson (Scott); Lucas, Grace & Bo Starr (Chad); Quinn, Rubie & Sidny Pohlman (Allison).

Preceded in death by her husband, George.

Betty was a devout Christian and member of the Reformed Church of Wellsburg.  She loved anything to do with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved to cook, bake, attend activities, and watching Wheel of Fortune.
