. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Monday, June 16, 2008, at Union Congregational United Church of Christ in
Reinbeck

Iowa
, with Pastor Terry Plocher officiating.
Burial will follow at the
Reinbeck
Cemetery
in
Reinbeck
,
Iowa
.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 15, 2008, from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., with the family present to greet friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., at French Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck.
A memorial fund has been established.
Betty Lucille (Wheeler) Bicket was born March 5, 1932, in
Newton
,
Iowa
, the daughter of Wayne Lester and Bessie Eliza (Gearhart) Wheeler.
Betty was educated in Reinbeck, graduating with the Reinbeck High School Class of 1950.
On June 4, 1950, Betty was united in marriage to Kenneth D. Bicket at the Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Reinbeck.
After their marriage, they made their home and raised their family there.
Betty took care of her family as well as sold
Avon
for over twenty-five years.
Upon Kenneth’s retirement in 1992, the couple maintained a residence in
Branson
,
Missouri
, as well as in Reinbeck.
On December 9, 1997, Betty’s husband Kenneth died, but she continued living in both Reinbeck and Branson.
Betty was a member of the Union Congregational United Church of Christ, and had also been a member of the Reinbeck Theater Guild.
She loved to collect dolls and clocks of all kinds.
Betty loved spending time with her family, especially hosting Sunday evening meals and summers spent at the lake in
Minnesota
.
She is survived by three sons, Tom W., and his wife Vicki of
Reinbeck
,
Iowa
; James S. and his wife Julie of Dundas, Minnesota; Daniel L. and his wife Judy of Reinbeck, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Tim Bicket and his wife Melissa of Hudson, Iowa; Wendy Martinez and her husband Gabe of Des Moines, Iowa; David Bicket of Des Moines, Iowa; Michael Bicket of Des Moines, Iowa; Heather Hemann and her husband Josh of Lone Tree, Iowa; Brittney Jansen and her husband Ryan of Center Point, Iowa; and Danielle Bicket of Reinbeck, Iowa and her fiancé Caleb Hamer of Cedar Falls, Iowa; four great-grandchildren, Jasmine Parker, Alyssa Parker and Layla Martinez of Des Moines, Iowa; and Jayla Hemann of Lone Tree, Iowa; and one sister, Teresa Pohl and her husband Bill of Cook, Minnesota.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Kenneth; one son in infancy; and one brother, David Wheeler.
