Bernice N. Bell, 92, of Grundy Center, Iowa, died Thursday, June 16, 2005, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Unit in Grundy Center of natural causes. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 18, 2005 at French-Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck, with Pastor David Nolte officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories in Waterloo, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to service time on Saturday morning at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Reinbeck. Bernice was born September 28, 1912, in Reinbeck, Iowa, the daughter of George E. and Harriet (Shoemaker) Watson. She received her education in Reinbeck, and graduated from Reinbeck High School in 1930. Bernice was united in marriage to Ubbe Neymeyer in 1942. He passed away in 1955. In 1960 she married Delbert Bell, they later divorced. Bernice worked as a homemaker.
She is survived by one sister in law, Lena Elliott of Parkersburg, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers Alton "Doc" Watson, Bert Watson, Evan "Mink" Watson, Elmer "Pug" Watson, and LeRoy "Snook" Watson; and four sisters Elma Schmitt, Blanche O'Brien, Bertha Cottrell, and Helen "Hula" Newton.
