Berneita Neubauer

Berneita Iola Neubauer, 74, of Parkersburg, Iowa, died of natural causes at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa on Saturday, November 29, 2008.      Berneita was born December 10, 1933 in Vinton, Iowa, the daughter of Web and Cecil (McNeil) Snyder. She grew up in the Vinton area, graduating from Vinton High School in 1953. She was united in marriage to Virgil Neubauer on October 3, 1964. The couple lived in Waterloo for several years before moving to the Kesley area, and later north of Aplington. The couple then moved to Parkersburg in 2001. Berneita was a devoted member of the St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Parkersburg. She enjoyed talking with her friends and playing 500.

She is survived by her husband Virgil of Parkersburg, a daughter: Sharon and her husband Alan Aukes of Baxter, Iowa; 2 grandchildren: Steven and Amanda Aukes; 3 sisters: Dorothy Bates Of Iowa City, Iowa, Katherine and her husband Merlin Lutz of Vinton, Iowa and her twin sister Bernice Good of Independence, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son: Steven Virgil Neubauer; and a brother: Clarence Snyder.
