Audrey Schueller

Audrey Schueller , 69, of Eldora, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2010 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, IA.  Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2010 at Community Church in Union, Iowa. Interment will be immediately following the funeral at Union Cemetery in Union, Iowa. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. a Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora. A memorial fund has been established.

Audrey was born November 5, 1940 in Traer, Iowa to her parents Ira and Vernita Mabe. She graduated from Union School in Union, Iowa. She lived in Union until she was united in marriage to her husband James Schueller on June 1, 1959 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. She and James the moved to Eldora where they raised their three children and made their home together for the last 50 years. She was a Certified Nurses Aid for most of her life. During the years 1975 -1977 she and her mother ran the Maid-Rite located in the Eldora Hotel. Audrey was fond of camping and picnics. She was very creative and loved to create cakes and floral decorations for weddings and other occasions. She enjoyed gardening and many television shows, such as Dancing with the Stars, The Bachelor and Survivor to name a few. Audrey loved to listen and dance to country music. The main focus of her life was her family, who she loved and cherished. Her family remembers her as the rock that held their family together.

Audrey is survived by her husband James; her son Mike (T.J.) Schueller; her daughters Debra (the late Cecil) Davis and Connie (Clarence) Patterson; 5 grandchildren; 5 Great-grandchildren;3 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Harold and Clifford Mabe and sister Linda Cole.
