Audrey Dudolski, age 80, died Wednesday, November 28, 2006 at the Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Reinbeck, IA. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday, December 1, 2006 at the French Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck. Burial will follow at the Reinbeck Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at French Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck.
Audrey J. Dudolski was born on April 16, 1926 in Montezuma, IA, daughter of William and Ruby (Boget) Fleener. After graduating from high school, Audrey moved to the west coast to be near some of her siblings. She worked for AT&T as a long distance operator. Audrey decided to move back to Iowa, after she had met Mel Dudolski through a mutual friend. Audrey and Mel were united in marriage in August 1953. Audrey worked as a switchboard operator in Reinbeck until they moved to Davenport, IA. While in Davenport, many worked for a travel agency, and then became a ticket agent for United Airlines. After retirement, Audrey and Mel moved to Waterloo, IA in 1957 and finally to Reinbeck in 1990.
Audrey was an avid bridge player and taught adult education classes at a local school to teach others how to play. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, doing both the Des Moines Register and Waterloo Courier crosswords on a daily basis.
Audrey is survived by her husband, Mel Dudolski of Reinbeck, IA; one son, Steven (Anna) Dudolski of Neosho, Missouri; two grandchildren.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, and six siblings.
