Arlene R. Wulf, 87, of Reinbeck, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, February 9th at the Parkview Manor in Reinbeck. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 13th at 11:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Reinbeck preceded by one hour of visitation at the church. Inurnment will be held privately at a later date at the Reinbeck Cemetery.
Arlene Rose was born on March 15, 1927 in Reinbeck, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer F. & Paula (Guebert) Gauger. A lifelong Reinbeck resident, Arlene attended and graduated from Reinbeck High School. On April 22, 1947, Arlene was united in marriage to Virgil Wulf at St. John's Lutheran Church in Reinbeck. Virgil and Arlene owned and operated a café in Reinbeck early in their marriage. Arlene worked as a legal secretary for Blair Hunter and later Rickert & Thompson Law Office until she retired.
She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she played the organ and sang in the choir. She was a member and past president of the Reinbeck American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Dorcas Society and the Women's Club. Arlene loved spending time with her family, especially going to their summer place in Lake City, MN, where she enjoyed boating and shopping with her daughter. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Arlene is survived by her daughter Mary Wulf (Rick Morris) of Zumbro Falls, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil; her parents; her 2 brothers Norbert & Franklin Gauger.
