Anna Meyers

Anna Mae Meyers, 79,of Grundy Center,Iowa,entered into eternal rest Tuesday,October 27, 2009 at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo,Iowa. Anna Mae was born August 3,1930 in Grundy Center,Iowa the daughter of August and Grace (Rozevink) Steinmeyer. Ann graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1948.She then graduated from Gates College in Waterloo in 1950. Ann worked at National Bank of Waterloo and a law office for Chuck Goodman in Grundy Center. On July 22,1951 she was united in marriage to Paul Meyers at the United Methodist Church in Grundy Center, Iowa. After their marriage they farmed south of Grundy Center. Ann took a very active role in the farming operations. She was instrumental in starting up the kennel, Century Farm Puppies. Ann enjoyed the farm,going fishing and traveling, but most of all she loved spending time with her children, grand children, great grandchildren and her brothers and sisters. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Grundy Center.

She is survived by her son: Rex Meyers and his wife Deb of Grundy Center, Iowa; her daughter: Patricia Ann Aten and her husband James of Waterloo, Iowa; 5 grandchildren: Jason Meyers and Pam of Reinbeck, Heath Meyers and his wife Jennifer of Grundy Center, Justin Aten and his wife Jennifer of Waterloo, Matthew Aten of Waterloo, Christina Aten of Waterloo and her fiancAC.e, Jon Sunderland of Ames;4 great grandchildren, Kiley and Samantha Meyers of Grundy Center, James and Paul Aten of Waterloo, and a new great granddaughter in two weeks; 2 brothers, Marvin (Joyce) Steinmeyer, James (Janice) Steinmeyer; 6 sisters, Mary Henze, JoAnn Wrage, Barbara Huntley, Alice Kolthoff, Rozella (Lary) Riebkes, Wonda (Larry)Sovereign; 3 sister-in-laws, Arlene Steinmeyer, Dorothy Finke, Joyce Miller; brother-in-law, Glen VanFossen and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Paul; and a brother; August and brother Alvin at infancy.
