Angie Hagedon

Angie M. (Viet) Hagedon, 93, of Eldora, Iowa, died Sunday, February 25, 2007, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 27, 2007, from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora, Iowa. Visitation will also be Friday, March 2, 2007 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. with the family presnet to greet friends from 7:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at Roste Funeral Home in Rock Rapids, Iowa. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, March 3, 2007, at the United Methodist Church in Rock Rapids, Iowa. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Parker, South Dakota. A memorial fund has been established.

Angie Martha (Viet) Hagedon was born September 16, 1913, in Monroe, South Dakota, the daughter of John and Grace (Stubbe) Viet. Both parents passed away when Angie was young and she was raised by her aunt, Lucy Viet. Angie attended rural country school in Parker, South Dakota. On October 30, 1957, she was united in marriage to Ralph T. Hagedon. Angie was a member of the United Methodist Church in Rock Rapids. Angie and her husband enjoyed traveling. They also enjoyed fishing and camping at their lake home at Big Stone Lake in South Dakota. Angie's husband Ralph died in 2000, and she continued to make Rock Rapids her home, until moving to Eldora, Iowa, three and a half years ago.

Angie is survived by her son Brian Hagedon and his wife Kristin of Eldora, Iowa; two grandchildren Matthew Hagedon of Whitten, Iowa; and Sarah Hagedon of Eldora, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ralph in 2000; her aunt Lucy Viet; three brothers Peter Viet and John and Herman Viet; and eight sisters Elsie Freese, Martha Lauterbach, Nellie Gortmaker, Rena Otten, Grace Freese, Bertha Mamminga, Tillie Wheeldryer, and Grace Viet.
