Albert H. Krull, 84, of Grundy Center, Iowa died on Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Grundy Care Center in Grundy Center while under the care of Iowa Hospice. Funeral services will be on Friday, June 15th, 10:30 A.M. at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center with Pastor Tom Bower officiating. Visitation will held on Thursday, June 14th from 5 to 7 P.M. at Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center. Burial will follow funeral services at Rosehill Cemetery in Grundy Center.
Albert was born on January 3, 1928 near Grundy Center, the son of Harm & Irene (Bleeker) Krull. He attended country school at Palermo #107 and lived his entire life in 5 houses within 2 miles of Grundy Center. On June 12, 1953, Albert was united in marriage to Bena "Bea" Eilderts at the Bethel Reformed Church Parsonage. Albert & Bea farmed 2 miles south of town and farmed land at one time belonged to Governor Boise. Bea preceded him in death on March 14, 2007.
He was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center, baptized at the church in 1955 and a longtime member of Grundy County Farm Bureau. His hobby was farming, with an occasional fishing trip to Minnesota.
Albert is survived by his daughter Karen (Gene) Richman of Grundy Center; sisters, Rena Mott of Malvern, Harriett (James) Bowen of Reinbeck, Dena (Warren) Lindaman of Wellsburg, Jane (Jack) Geer of Rockwell, and Mary Ann (Ernie) Norris of Sevierville; brothers, Harm Jr. (Esther) Krull of Parkersburg & John (Karen) Krull of Waverly; and by many nieces and nephews. Albert was preceded in death by his parents; wife Bea; and brothers-in-law, Leonard Mott & Glenn McClintic.
