Adeline Henze, 82, of Holland, died from natural causes on Sunday, May 1, 2005 at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center, Iowa. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 5, 2005 at the New Hope Fellowship Church formerly Holland Christian Reformed Church, in Holland, Iowa with Pastor Gary Nibbelink officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center. Visitation is from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center and also one hour prior to the service at the church. The family will be present at this time.
Adeline was born January 1, 1923 on a farm near Lincoln Center, in Grundy County Iowa, daughter of Jacob and Jennie (Limberg) Bottema. She was raised in Dike, Iowa and attended country school in Lincoln Township, graduating from Dike High School. On January 14, 1953, Adeline was united in marriage to Clarence Henze at the parsonage of the Christian Reformed Church in Holland, Iowa. Adeline worked as a linotype operator for Spokesman Press and the Grundy Register where she also did proof reading and was a computer operator. After working she devoted her life to her family.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence; two daughters Laurie Henze and her fiancAsh Gunter Wagler of MA�nsingen, Germany, and Barb Hanson and her husband Harlon of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and six grandchildren, Joe Terpstra, Ted Terpstra, Liz Terpstra, Becky Hanson, Heidi Hanson, and Brian Hanson. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dora Sinclair, and brother, John Bottema.
